What is Blue Tara?
Blue Tara was a limited edition test of how the Bubbashine mother paired with the Snow Lotus father in the 2013-2014 time window. So why are we still talking about it in 2025?
Bubbashine is a strain from Bodhi’s collection coming from an OG Bubba Kush (pre-92/“Baba”) mother, and a rare “stretch ” DJ Short Blue Moonshine father. Classic dense, bushy traits with lots of resin, and a heavy, sweet, and lactic scent often described as hot buttered blueberry muffins.
Snow Lotus is another Bodhi strain born from an Afgooey (Afghani x Maui Haze) mother known for its piney, earthy sweetness, and an x19-leaning Blockhead (Afghani x Sweet Tooth) that lacked Sweet Tooth traits, focusing instead on the heavy-duty Afghani structure and “funk.” The Snow Lotus male is known for its ability to “let the mother shine through” while significantly increasing size, frost, and potency. We’re talking about high calyx-to-leaf ratio, lots and lots of trichomes.
