Description:
As a limited release we’ve crossed two of our most resin producing strains that we have. There isn’t a strain that we currently have that can outperform in the resin production.
Our coveted Chem #3, the best of the Joebrand Chem series that we went above and beyond to acquire crossed to our resin queen Sour Chem Dubb. Over the last decade or so dozens and dozens of growers from all skill levels and all grow styles have grown SCD and are in awe of its resin production and it’s sour gassy chemmy funk with potency to match.
We reversed the Sour Chem Dubb (Sour diesel X Sour bubble X reversed Chem #4) to pollinate our ultra coveted Chem #3.
If there was an ultimate Chem strain this has to be it. It grows to medium height, will stretch a bit but the Chem #3 fills in more than SCD. Large flowers, multiple branches, large pinecone shaped bud formation dripping in resin. Resin, plus resin, add some more resin, then some more resin production. Tight flower formation. It’s got an overwhelming pure jet fuel/kerosene, sour, very sharp 110 octane fuel, a little earthy, a little herbal spice to it. She flowers pretty quickly as well.
Everyone always asks if this cross is as ultra finicky as the Chem #3 clone only and she’s way less finicky. You do still have that element of finicky because Chem #3 is the mother but nowhere near as finicky as the clone only.
Keep your temps above 72 degrees, keep your pH at 5.8 in soilless and hydro, she prefers H&G Aqua flakes, liquid kelp and plagron green sensation bloom booster (maximum resin production) but she takes to mills full line much better than the Chem 3 clone only. We also run new millennium’s full line to pull all the terps out of our strains for cup entries but even this cross doesn’t like it as much as H&G. We’ve also run the standard General Hydro 3 part and liquid koolbloom and she absolutely didn’t like that for whatever reason and she wanted no parts of vegbloom. Botanicare pure blend pro and hydroplex she was decently happy with. It seems the lower macro salts is what she likes.
Done properly you will get one of the most resinous plants out there. Some phenos will be more sour chemmy and a little more earthy, some lots of gas and sour chemmy. All will have large flowers dripping in resin. Defoliating is a good idea in early flower though she may take a couple days to accept the stress she’ll rocket into production.
This is probably one of the best resin production strains we’ve created in a while.
