Description:

Several months ago the company founder that’s in his mid 70’s pulled out an original bag of the 1981 seeds. From there the company director “pressure popped” these old seeds and coerced them into wonderful phenos. With our goal being to find a rock solid male, again. As the company director has done this before, he commenced the delicate process of pressure popping these very old seeds.

We ended up with a few males, one being dubbed the stud keeper. From there he was crossed to the original 1981 Heirloom Florida Skunk keeper clone female we’ve had for decades.

The goal in it’s entirety was to create a regular sex (males and females) batch of seeds to pass on regular sex, ultimately original from the keeper clone to the pressure popped seeds from the 1980’s.

This was keeping with the whole of the ‘81 skunks profile, structure, growth, flower formation and its original clone only smell and flavor. Rather than selfing (S1), we wanted to give the ability of males to the masses for ongoing breeding projects. As the company founder isn’t getting any younger in age, we wanted to pass the torch so to speak while keeping regular sex alive. Since we don’t have any original ‘79 Heirloom FL Skunk seeds the ‘81 Heirloom FL Skunk was the best choice.

Even when it came to popping original seeds 40 years old it was no small task. The company director worked his magic with pressure popping them. Pressure popping is both a necessity and an art all rolled into one. The older the seeds, the more hardened the husk. Out of the couple dozen seeds pressure popped one was chosen as the “stud keeper male”. This is the male we crossed to our ‘81 Heirloom FL Skunk clone female. So that we could bring regular sex pure ‘81 skunk funk seeds to the masses.

Many are already familiar with our skunks and other companies have indeed created their own remakes of our heirloom skunks, but these are from the originals and from the company’s that released them originally.
