After pheno hunting several packs of the original release of I-95, a male of epic proportions emerged and we knew we had to work it and work it hard! This stud was a winner out of the box, complete with the trademark terpene profile of diesel fuel and sour funk, and the legendary resin production Star Dawg fans have come to expect. The hunt for some hotties to pair it with was on!
Motific Genetics had spent a lot of time working with Ken Estes, “Candyland” (Grandaddy Purple x Bay Platinum Cookies) since the day it was released. It is a terrific plant that has more than a few expressions, all of which we learned to appreciate. But like most cookie hybrids we felt it could use some more beef. Enter Mamiko Seeds, “Chem Cookies” (aka GMO), to bring on gas and garlic that all good Chem’s bring to the party – and our “Candy Chem” was born.
Both of these two strains were meant to be paired to create “Candy Lane”! All the great things Chems added, the grapey Candyland terps mellowed out while still letting the hashy Chem dankness shine through. Copious resin production with a stupefying stone and terrific yields make this line a chicken dinner winner!
