Hemp Seeds USA operates under a Seed Dealer license in Washington State with a focus on generic, non-proprietary genetics. We have low overhead and therefore can pass the savings on. We’re currently conduct germination tests on all strains we carry to verify quality from our seed sources.

We feel in many respects that this is plant medicine, so our price points reflect that. It's also why we offer the 1st class mail and seed packs starting at $3.75. Hemp 101: A Primer

Type Classifications

TYPE 1: This class is for "" where CBD and other less common cannabinoids are minor, and less that 2%
TYPE 2: This class is for Medical Strains that still have intoxicating affects, cannabinoid ranges 50/50, so Delta 9 and CBD are 1:1 ratio, or 2:1 ratio in either direction. Type 2 is used to describe cultivars in these ranges, where no 1 cannabinoid is completely dominant.
TYPE 3: This class describes CBD is dominant, and Delta 9 is less than 1% or lower, depending on harvest time and climate factors. Most Hemp falls into this category.
TYPE 4: This class is reserved for CBG dominant varieties.

Hemp is divided into 3 main categories, with some varieties that fall into multiple categories— known as Dual Crop and Tri Crop.

1. Fiber. Which can be subdivided into numerous classes. Namely, long strand (for woven textiles) and short strand (Cobb or hempcrete building materials, animal bedding/feed), or measured by Bast (long outer fiber found in the bark) and Core fiber, aka Hurd or Shiv content (short inner stalk fibers) for product-specific processing like cosmetics or bioplastics.

2. Grain. Hemp seed is a superfood, and this can be subdivided again, by seed size and oil content, harvest possible through combine tractor, etc.

3. Cannabinoids. 120+ discovered so far- each year hemp breeders are selecting for the latest and greatest. The highest demand, and most common being CBD & CBG which is where we will start, and branch out from there.
