Albino Penis Envy (APE) is one of many variations of the Psilocybe cubensis species — they’re actually a variation of a variation, being the almost-colorless version of the well-known Penis Envy (PE) shrooms.
PE mushrooms were so popular that breeders started creating new sub-varieties and hybrids. APE is a hybrid of two Psilocybe cubensis varieties — Penis Envy and PF Albino.
Their most standout characteristic is the color; they’re milky white with bluish tones. When dried, they turn silver, blue.
Albino Penis Envy’s effects are quite strong. They’re said to produce a highly visual trip with euphoria and deep introspective thoughts. Other effects include:
Visual, auditory, and other sensory distortions of reality or hallucinations;
Temporal distortion;
A feeling of connection to their surroundings, people, and animals;
Spiritual experiences;
Abstract thinking;
Synesthesia (hearing colors and seeing sounds, for example);
Dilated pupils.
Of course, it depends on the batch and other variables, like the setting, your physiology, and what you ate that day.
The effects take anywhere between 20 minutes and an hour to set in. A “normal” trip should last up to six hours but, again, this depends on many variables.
