This Heirloom cut hails from Santa Cruz back in 2003 and was entrusted to us by our mentor recently who used to work at the old Sunset Collective in WeHo way back in 96. Not much is known about who bred or who exactly is responsible for the Blue Dream. There are several rumors about her real genetic lineage, and due to her popularity there are many imitations in circulation out there.
Once such re-creation of the Blue Dream is known as Azure Haze which was made by DJ Short himself, who crossed his Blueberry to Super Silver Haze to create that cut, which is also sometimes confused for the original Blue Dream cut, but it is not.
This Blue Dream is the original heirloom cut, which is believed to be crossed to Santa Cruz Haze (a Haze cut that was popular in that region back during the dawn of medicinal ), whatever the truth might be to the Blue Dream's lineage, this is the cut that lit up the world in the 2000s, and had almost as many rap songs written about it as OG Kush did in the 90s.
Blue Dream quickly found itself being put into commercial production by growers all up and down the coast of California when the cut proved to be an incredible yielder in both outdoor and indoor cultivation, her consistency and the quality of the terpene and flavor profile won the cut a place in the history of California medicinal . She has won awards as recently as 2020 and of course was taking up all the prizes back in the 00s.
