Lemon Tree S1
Lemon Tree is Lemon G x Sour Diesel bred by the Lemon Tree crew in Santa Cruz circa 2007. That crew never gave out the cut. They held it very tightly because they were making good money off it. They were one of the first companies to make branded packaging for 1/8ths in like 2007, and they were making very good money at the time. This is the s1 than Sean AKA Windy Bay hunted in 2008/9. Sean was living in Santa Cruz working for Lemon Tree doing the grunt work taking packs and moving them to clubs throughout California. The Lemon Tree always was herm prone so you could always find a couple seeds per lb. Sean would sort through each pound and pick out the bagseeds before he sold it. He collected about 50 seeds. He pheno hunted all 50 of them in his apartment and backed them up, and had them all tested at SC labs in Santa Cruz. The original Lemon Tree did not yield that much and it tested at 18% if dialed in. The keeper Sean found was a monster. It tested at 27% and yielded much more than the original. It had more of the Sour Diesel funk but coupled with that signature lemon zest. But Seans roommate at the time was sketchy. He drank Codeine and was working for Connected. When he found out Sean had found a better version of Lemon Tree, he stole all the cuts and bounced, and didn't pay rent. He then sold the cuts to Connected. Since then, Sean AKA Windy Bay spiraled downward and became very negative and biggoted. The Lemon Tree guys were more interested in money than backing up the genetics. So instead of releasing seeds, they bought a sound system and went to Reggae on the River and did lots of coke and sexually assaulted women. They got permanently banned from Reggae on the River in like '09. This is all documented on the Masonic Smoker Podcast with Flying Lion Research.
I got this cut from unclegrows315. The smell is intense Meyer lemon peel and funky diesel gas. It's very sativa-leaning in effect but stacks big dense buds from top to bottom. Expect 3x stretch. Yields 4-5% from fresh frozen to 45-159u hash. Makes exceptional rosin.
