White Widow 1996

White Widow 1996
White Widow was bred by Shantibaba. It is a Brazilian Sat. dominant mom, crossed to a IN dom hybrid frosty father from Kerala in Southern India. Shantibaba founded greenhouse seeds in 1995. Duoffeshop grower Ingemar worked with greenhouse seeds and shantibaba in the growing of the plants and selections. Shantibaba worked on stabilizing the strain for 6 years outdoors in the Netherlands, before winning the high times cup in 1995 in Venice, CA.

I got this clone from Johnny Que of Stanky Dank Genetics, who claims it is a cut of White Widow he got in 1996, which he hit with pollen from a bag seed from 1988. He hunted through a large population of those seeds to find this White Widow leaning keeper.

This plant exhibits alot of the traits of that 90s white widow- loud skunky terps, with underlying pine, hard hitting potency and dense resin coverage. These plants stink more than anything I have seen, even in veg. It is extremely vigorous and fast growing. I remember getting this strain once in high school and it was some of the strongest, most memorable stuff I had back then. This is the closest thing to that bud I got in the 2000s that I have seen around. It is easy to see how this strain won awards and became so famous.
Flowering time 8-9 weeks. Extremely resistant to mold and mildew.
