Root Beer Freeze is Rootbeer f4 x Jaro f2. (RB x RB x RB x Jaro) x (RB x RB x RB x Jaro) bred by Mean Gene From Mendocino aka Freeborn Selections. It's a very inbred version of his Rootbeer and Jaro lines, which are both renowned for tasting like rootbeer and cola.
Rootbeer is Headband probably x {Hollywood Pure Kush x (Hindu x Black Affie probably)}. Jaro is Sour Diesel x {Hollywood Pure Kush x (Black Afghani x Hindu Kush)}
I got this cut from a small outdoor grower in Michigan. The rosin from this strain has the best rootbeer / cream soda / sasparilla nose out there. Way more root beer-y than the GMO x Root Beer. It comes through heavy in the taste, not like the GMO x Rootbeer, which smells vaguely like root beer but tastes very GMO-y.
It yields 2.5% from fresh frozen to 45-159u hash and does well outdoor in Northern Michigan. It grows huge, and makes up for the lower % with huge biomass yields. Uplifting, energizing high. Flowers turn purple at the end with cold nights.
Flowering time: 60-70 days.
Tested HLPV negative in July 2024.
